Slight Delay on EP200

Hi all,
Just a quick note that Escape Pod episode 200 will probably not be going out on our usual Thursday schedule this week. We’ve been negotiating for the rights to a Major Story by a Major Author. We’re dealing with the literary agency for the author’s estate, which is always a slower process than working with living authors directly. Everything appears to be a green light and the story production is moving ahead at speed, but we’re waiting on final signatures. It’s my expectation that we’ll have the episode out within a few days. (Certainly before next week’s regularly scheduled EP201!)
And it’s worth it. When you hear the story I think you’ll agree. Thank you for your patience.

The live Balticon episode of the Charlie Stross story is most likely going to run sometime in July.

100 was Nightfall by Isaac Asimov. Sheesh, I remember it like it was yesterday. Over two years now!
I’m still holding out for some Heinlein, since both he and Virginia are deceased, it may take some work to work through the estate, since it’s now run by third parties.

An update would be great, you know, since “a few days” has turned into a month. I get the feeling episode 200 isn’t going to happen and it’s being quietly ignored in the hopes that it will be forgotten.
I am always impressed how impatient, malevolent and unfriendly the users/readlers/listeners of wonderful free-of-charge gifts like this podcast can become if you permit the tiniest delay to happen.
This is the first time I write a comment, love EP since the beginning, and can wait another… well.. as long as it takes.

While I know it will be worth it in the end any updates on episode 200. love escape artists, waiting patiently as long as necessary. Just curious when we might see it
