Escape Pod Flash: It Was Death By a Bullet, But I Was Killed By a Woman

By Michael Bekemeyer
Read by Alasdair Stuart (of Pseudopod)

I have a special skill. I am a part of a small group of people on this planet that can do special things with their minds. You have your mind readers, your empaths — and you have people like me who can control things through telekinesis. I have always been able to move things, just by thinking about it. It always came in helpful when playing golf.

Rated R. Contains sex and violence.

That was totally a golden age pulp story.

I agree with PK. Was good for a cheap laugh, though.

It’s amazing how much story you can pack into just under 5 minutes! Yet, this story could be soooo expanded; I believe this is the mark of really great fiction of any kind. I “felt”for the poor bastard even though we had just met. I had other emotions too like wanting to grab him by the shoulders & give him a good hard shake-at the end, I actually thought I heard a loud BANG!

Hello all. I just wanted to stop in and say thanks to everyone who has commented on my story. Itwas really fun hearing the Escape Pod production of this little thing. Glad, for the most part, people are finding it entertaining. Escape Pod, FTW!

Excellent short! I really enjoyed it. The ending was true to the fact that women can distract you to the point of….well you get the drift!
