Mmm, this one wasn’t as much to my liking as some other recent Escape Pod efforts. Well-written and well-read, but just I’m not a fan of the show which dampened my interest. I also saw the outlines of the plot twist coming a mile off (or as close to a mile as one can get in a flash piece, anyway) and had the details in place well before the end. Eh, can’t win ‘em all, I guess.

When i was a kid, i daydreamed i’d get stuck on an elevator with a celebrity. The celebrity changed each time… Later, when older, i realized that this fantasy involved getting stuck on an elevator.
My other fantasies have come true…

I have to say, just didn’t get this one. 99% of Escape Pod stories make me go “Wow - fantastic!” But this one fell flat. Maybe because I’ve never seen the tv series.
